Fuchi with Chrysanthemums
(Japanese Military Armor)
The front of the fuchi is dominated by a large, open chrysanthemum flower. Leaves and buds appear on the reverse. The fuchi forms a continuous composition with the koi-guchi kanagu on the hilt. This is part of a mounted set.
