Tsuka with Fish and Flowers
(Japanese Military Armor)
The kashira and menuki depict various fish. Both menuki are in the shape of carp. On the top of the kashira, a carp and a squid are shown. Puffer fish are on either side of the kashira. The tsuka is decorated with roundels of flowers including plum, vines, bush clover, and iris. This is part of a mounted set in which the tsuba, fuchi, kozuka, and kogai are all signed by Ômori Hidetomo.
