Fuchi with Bamboo and Plums
(Japanese Military Armor)
The fuchi is decorated with bamboo on the front and plum blossoms on the reverse. It may have originally been paired with a kashira depicting pine trees, because those three plants are known as the three friends of winter. This is part of a mounted set.
