Binding from Collection of Poems (Divan)

This non-original, dark brown leather binding from Walters manuscript W.633 has a with flap and is decorated with a central lobed medallion with pendants and cornerpieces brushed with gold. The endleaves are of marbled paper with gilt edges. The binding probably dates to the 17th or 18th century.
