Desiccated Fruits and Nuts

Description Conservation Provenance Credit
Description In 1923, Henry Walters purchased an ancient wooden box that served as a model coffin. Inside the box was a group of fruit that dried out long ago and were preserved in Egypt's arid climate: dom-palm nuts, figs, and pomegranates, with their distinctive blossom-end.
