Cope of gold and silver brocade
Cope patched together from 5 pieces showing repeat pattern on gold ground of large bird on pink flower stems, growing out of blue soil on which two little birds are standing; butterfly amid the flowers. Two smaller pieces on left side and one on the r. laid incorrectly (note wrong direction of pattern). Modern gray lining. Said to have been made for church in Constantinople.
