This statue depicts a man kneeling. He wears a wig and his chin is broken off. The text identifies the man as a priest named Pe-Kher-Khons, and he holds a shrine that contains a representation of Osiris.

Inscription

[Multipart inscription; A, horizontal row at the front] An offering which the king gives to ... the hem-wen-priest, the henk-nun-priest of Hermonthis, Pe-kher-Khons, son of a man with the same titles, Nes-ba-neb-Dedet (Smendes).... [B, before the knees] The revered before Osiris, lord of Abydos, the qebh-priest (water pourer), the sekhenu-udjat-priest, the accountant (bill writer) of the temple of Amun, ... Pe-kher-Khons.The revered before Osiris, lord of Busiris, the divine father, the third priest of Mont, lord of Hermonthis, Pe-kher-(Khons), born of Tede-Bastet. [C, on the rear column] The revered before Amon-re, lord of the thrones of the Two Lands, residing in Epet-sewet, the priest of Mont, lord of Thebes, the scribe of the divine treasure (temple treasure) of the temple of Amun in the second and fourth phylae Pe-kher-Khons, son of a man with the same titles, Smendes, born of Tede-Bastet, he says: whoever honors this statue and brings it mortuary offerings in the temple of the lord of the gods, may it be well with him and with his son after him as one who never perishes nor dies. [D, on the base of the Osiris shrine] The revered before Osiris, the priest of Mont, lord of Thebes, Pe-kher-Khons. [E, on the lintel and post of the shrine] An offering which the king gives (to) Osiris, the great god, the ruler of eternity, that he may give everything which comes forth on his offering-table, to ...
