Oval Box with View of the Kremlin
(18th and 19th Centuries )
A view of the Kremlin towers is painted within the oval on the box's lid. The filigree and painted enamel decoration of tulip blossoms is raised against a stippled background. A cabochon amethyst serves as the thumb-piece.
