Tsuba with Chinese-style Lion and Waterfall

At the lower right of the tsuba is a gold Chinese-style lion ("shishi"). This type of lion was developed by artist who saw drawings of lions, not by direct observation. Therefore, they often look more like dogs than lions. A waterfall is on the left side. This is part of a mounted set.
