Angel
This elegant figure of an angel holding a candlestick is characterized by a slender, elongated, curving body conforming to the shape of the elephant tusk from which it was carved. The figure is part of a pair carved from two halves of the same tusk, and are nearly flat on the back. It is likely that they were to be attached to a larger surface as decoration.
