This is a handmade bark paper (amate) book created by Alfonso García Tellez, with writing by his daughter(s). Measuring 18 x 14 cm closed, the book is folded accordion style, with 28 numbered leaves plus covers, with snap closure system on both sides to hold book closed. Imagery in book is created out of 21 cut-out illustrations made from darker amate bark paper, with an additional two cut figures on the front cover, for a total of 23 figures overall. The text is in Spanish, and is handwritten in black ink by García Tellez’s daughter following his dictation. The front cover is inscribed with the title, dated “10 de Agosto de 1978,” and signed by the author.
