Head of a Cherub

Description Conservation Provenance Credit
Description This carving in limewood of a cherub is French, or perhaps Bavaria, and probably dates from the middle of the 18th century. The wings face in different directions framing the face. The cherub's hair curls over the forehead and right ear. This would have been part of the decorative scheme for a religious building.
