Standing Saint Benedict (?)
(Renaissance Europe )
This carved statuette probably held a staff. Both feet, the left hand, the staff, and part of the garment on the left side are broken off. The statuette's head has also been broken off and glued on again. For ivory statuettes of this period, see the display in the Collector's Study on the second floor.
