One of a Pair of Vases (Vase Danemark à cartels)
(18th and 19th Centuries )
The front reserve of this green-ground vase depicts a sacrifice to Pomona in grisaille. It is thought that this vase and its pair (48.613) were presented to the King of Denmark by Louis XV in 1768.
