Bust of William T. Walters
This portrait bust was modelled after a marble bust of William T. Walters (Walters 28.9). It is part of a group of bronzes that was commissioned in 1889 and cast in France. They were made to be slightly smaller than the original marble version. A much larger copy was commissioned in 1907 to be placed over the entrance to the gallery, where it can be seen to this day.
