Tracings After the Parthenon Frieze
(18th and 19th Centuries )
Barye has traced the outlines of female attendants from the procession carved on the eastern frieze of the Parthenon. The artist presumably worked from an engraving or a plaster cast of the original sculptures, which are in the British Museum, London.
