Description
A young musician is shown from slightly below the waist, posed with his violin and bow. The picture is thinly painted, allowing the wood ground to appear, particularly in the background. A couple of pictures entitled "Petit joueur de violon" of 1884-5 are mentioned in "Catalogue des oeuvres de Dagnan-Bouveret (peintures)," Paris, Institut de France, 1930.
