Nymph Seated
(18th and 19th Centuries )
This piece is sculpted in the round and depicts a nymph seated, nude, with a garland of roses. The piece is on a marble and gilt bronze base. At the time of acquisition it was attributed to Etienne Maurice Falconet (1716-1791), one of the most famous sculptors of the second half of the 18th century.
