Iyemon in the Yotsuya ghost story
Tamiya Iyemon (or Kamiya Niemon in this print) in the scene depicted is haunted by the vision of his first wife O Iwa. He draws his sword to cut off the head of the vision, only to discover that he has cut off the head of his new bride. She is probably featured in the print to the right.
