Dress Ornaments

Description These ornaments, in the shape of fantastic animals, are made of stamped sheet gold and have small holes, apparently for attachment to clothing. Similar ornaments have been found in Hungary and Scandinavia and are characteristic of the Germanic animal style of the 6th and 7th centuries.
