Belt Clasp
(Roman Empire )
Although once considered to be part of a warrior's apparel, this type of heavy belt clasp is now understood to be part of a woman's apparel. This example was made from a large sheet of bronze, with a hook at one end and a sheath to attach a leather belt at the other.
