Description William T. Walters acquired or commissioned several works by Charles Camino, including a portrait of himself. Although not well known today, Camino's works were much sought after but wealthy Parisian and American collectors.
Provenance William T. Walters, Baltimore [perhaps commissioned through George Lucas, Paris in 1883(?)]; Walters Art Museum, 1931, by bequest.
