Description This miniature on ivory shows an unknown man. He wears a white kerchief, striped vest, blue coat with gilt buttons and a circular gold ring in his right ear. The piece is signed "Isabey," but it this was likely added later. Vellum on reverse. No frame. It has been attributed to Bouvier.
Provenance William T. or Henry Walters, Baltimore [date and mode of acquisition unknown]; Walters Art Museum, 1931, by bequest.
