Description These ovoid-shaped vases with domed foliate-carved covers were based on a design engraved by Jean-Claude Duplessis, the sculptor at the Sèvres Porcelain manufactory. Vases of the same shape come from the atelier of Charles-Etienne Thomas (1787-1857). These are in the Musee de Dieppe (Inv. 764-765).
