Stickpin with Head of an African
The head of the gold pin is made in the form of an African with an enameled face. Both his turban and chest are baroque pearls. The rim of the turban is in white enamel with diagonal rows of black dots and is set with a red paste. This decorative motif was introduced to France from Italy in the 18th century.
