The Coronation and Crucifixion
This left leaf of a diptych is divided into two registers. The top scene depicts the coronation of the Virgin. An angel places a crown on the Virgin's head and Christ, seated to the right, raises a hand in benediction. The lower register depicts the Crucifixion. Mary swoons on the right, supported by the arms of three holy women, and to the left are the Centurion and two soldiers.
