Man Walking on a Road
(18th and 19th Centuries )
A bearded man in the costume of an ancient Greek traveler trudges down a road through a mountainous landscape. In front, there is a deep crevice, and behind him are strewn corpses. The drawing may show an episode from the Bible, but the specific subject of this melancholic scene has yet to be identified.
