Description This statuette of Ganymede is carved in the round. There is an eagle's claw on the right side with prongs from attachment to the eagle on the right shoulder and back. The arms and legs are broken off.
Provenance Dikran Kelekian, New York and Paris [date and mode of acquisition unknown] [as from Asia Minor]; Henry Walters, Baltimore, 1911, by purchase; Walters Art Museum, 1931, by bequest.
