Candlestick (Bougeoir)
(18th and 19th Centuries )
The simple but elegant design of this candlestick has been further enhanced by gilding as well as a trailing garland of roses, painted in monochrome blue. This rose decoration may be the work of Louis-Michel de St. Aubin, who worked at the Sèvres manufactory as painter of flowers and lines from the 1750s thought the 1770s (1754-58 and 1760-79).
