Description Devoured by the desire to discover the identity of her unseen lover, Psyche holds a lamp over Cupid as he sleeps. Cupid, awakened by a drop of oil from the lamp, flees from his mistress, whose faith had proved weaker than her curiosity.
Examined and analyzed for authenticity at request of curator. Prior restorations retouched to better match original enamel.
