Belt Buckle
(Medieval Europe )
This highly decorative buckle is unusual in that it is made of two pieces riveted together. It is decorated with incised and punched patterns and features a cross at the center. The tongue has a schematic human face and an animal head terminal. Such animal head terminals are common on Migration period jewelry.
