Description
Top and Bottom images: These images from Walters manuscript W.106 depict scenes from the story of Ruth. Naomi and her daughter-in-law Ruth were destitute. Ruth went to glean barley, following the reapers, in the fields of Boaz, who was a kinsman of Naomi's late husband. After Boaz shows Ruth kindness by allowing her to have some of the barley, Ruth sleeps at Boaz's feet and is taken to bed with him.
