Description This binding from Walters manuscript W.106 is an early 20th-century binding by Leon Gruel, Paris. It is composed of shaped millboard, covered in worn red velvet, and incorporating a double sided 14th-century Rhenish ivory on the upper cover. The outside upper cover depicts the nativity, the inside cover depicts the crucifixion.
