Diptych Leaf with Scenes of the Passion

Description Exhibitions Provenance Credit
Description This leaf typifies the diptychs with arcades. It represents the standard subjects of the group: the Entry into Jerusalem, Last Supper, Arrest of Christ, and Death of Judas. The figures are conventionalized types whose heads are slightly oversized. There is a small break where the upper hinge was removed. The matching leaf with the Washing of the Feet, Gethsemane, and Crucifixion was in the Kofler Collection.
